ARMING THE MYFORCE SERVICE

You or your family members should arm the system by launching the MyForce application anytime you feel your personal safety may be at risk—walking alone at night, walking to your car, or entering unfamiliar or unprotected areas. By launching the MyForce application on your mobile device, the alert button will be at your disposal if a crisis should arise.

SENDING AN ALERT

Send an alert immediately when something seems out of the ordinary. As an example, if you’re walking to your car at night, you should launch the MyForce application to arm the system—but not trigger the alert unless something occurs that gives rise to concern about your personal safety.

Being Vocal

Our monitoring operators are able to validate your crisis and get you the help you need without speaking to you and potentially drawing attention to your mobile device. Our operators do this by listening to audio from your mobile device or the device of a loved one. If you’re able, let us know you are in trouble by yelling “help,” “stop” or “no” — or audibly describe the situation so we can expedite the process. If we are unable to validate the situation through the audio transmission, our monitoring operators will call you or your loved one’s cell phone to speak with you directly and make sure you’re okay. They will ask for your personal “safe” word, which is determined at the time of registration. If you give our monitoring operators an incorrect Safe Word, we’ll take that as a sign of duress and default to notifying emergency responders.

Responding to Your Alert

Every alert received by the MyForce service is managed by our monitoring personnel who are highly-trained professionals capable of handling a wide range of emergency situations and who act as you or your loved one’s personal advocate throughout the duration of an incident. The operators work from official and fully-certified “Central Stations” that are registered in all 50 states, UL listed, Five Diamond Certified and fully redundant.

Canceling Accidental Alerts

Our monitoring personnel will respond to and validate every MyForce alert, even if the alert is cancelled. If you inadvertently set off an alert, we ask that you immediately cancel the alert by entering your 4-digit personal identification number (PIN) and answer the call from our monitoring personnel who will verify your name and personal Safe Word prior to resolving the incident. Both your PIN and Safe Word are created by you in your profile andare important to remember for this very purpose.

**Useful tip: Once you are a MyForce subscriber, we suggest programming our monitoring team’s number into your phone: 801-781-6101, and tagging it as the “MyForce Monitoring Team,” so that you’re reminded to answer their call. If you ignore the call from our monitoring team because you don’t recognize the number, they will default to taking this as a sign that your safety is at risk and will deploy help. So please answer our call!
